Did you have a tough holiday season when it came to your diet? If so, you are not alone.
Almost every individual I work with struggles this time of year, and that is completely okay. The holidays are a time to spend with your loved ones, and sometimes a little (or a lot) of estimation is necessary in order to make sure you can still enjoy the experience.
With the majority of the holiday events behind us, it's time to start thinking about how we can turn the ship around in 2017, and get back to your goals.
While the new year is a great time to start a new fitness routine, and recommit to your goals, for many it is simply a time to refocus on the goals that we've been working towards long term.
Spend some time thinking about what it is that motivates you, and keep those top of mind as the holiday treats still linger.
I personally ended up with an entire basket of treats and snacks that are more my husband and I could even consume. Our strategy is to bring these treats to people who will enjoy them - at our gym! - donate what we can and toss out the rest. It's just too tempting to have in the house for too long.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful and relaxing holiday, and I look forward to connecting with you all about it this week!
